"Traveled with a large group with small children, young teens, adults, and older adults. All were happy with all aspects of the Royal Uno resort. We were always able to eat at the restaurants at the hour we chose too, including making a reservation for the Teppanyaki show. Resort and rooms were impeccably clean. Staff went above and beyond to ensure a great stay from the moment we arrived from the airport. Location was amazing, we were extremely happy to find the Mayan ruins and resort directly in front of the hotel - I'm surprised this isn't mentioned more in other reviews. We've stayed at several all-inclusive resorts in various countries, and the food was very good by that measuring stick. I don't think you'll ever find Michelin-level cuisine at an all-inclusive, but this resort did a better job than all others we've been to. Was surprised at the number of options on the menu at the sit-down restaurants, usually there are few choices but these had as many (or more) options than a normal restaurant would. Kids' pool was great, beach was amazing, never had a problem getting pool chairs or a cabana on the beach. Last word, the spa was exquisite, definitely recommend getting something there, even if it's just the hydrotherapy treatment (about $20). 5 stars all the way. We'd be happy to return here."
