Very Good

I love the view from my bedroom and the easy access to the pools and beach, however I will suggest to switch the breakfast buffet menu a little bit more often. The personal at the restaurant were very nice and friendly plus a good service as well .
Not many food options, AC not the best & when we checked in, it wasn’t the cleanest. Hair was still in the bathroom & on walls. Power went out 2 times while there, other than that the staff is great & view is beautiful.
Don't book this place if you're from the USA. It doesn't have the convinces you're used to. Service is poor, rooms are old and moldy. Fabric Chairs and lamps have mold. We went to two different rooms, same thing. I am writing this review as it's midnight and I called about our ac not working around 9:30pm. No one has yet to come.
We booked this place thinking it was a quick cheap get away as we needed something budget friendly, because this was a last minute trip. I wish I would have just bit the bullet and stayed somewhere nicer. It's 76 degrees or 26 for those in metric, in our room at the moment. We are very patient we called at 9 and then 11. Now it's 12 and I am in the lobby to ask about the air and they said it's totally broken. If they communicated this at 9pm when we originally called, we could have gone out and bought a fan. This place is a total mess. Also, from Aug there is seaweed so we had to head over to playa mujeres today, in order to to find a calm beach with no seaweed. I do recommend if you do end up staying here, to take the Ferry over to isla Mujeres and walking to beach club zama for the day. Safe Travels!
I liked the housekeepers, they were quick and busy all the time but still everything around the building was dirty,
I’ve been on one of the building in the middle, three stores, and I’ve been exactly to the third floor next to a kitchen and restaurant, was noise 24 hours from 24, and in last two days I found cockroaches on my room, even if I didn’t have any food on my room, absolutely disgusting.
The main swimming pool was always dirty.
I’ve been in 2012 to this hotel, when the name was Royal Mayan, that was the reason I booked twice this year, the first week in July I’ve been in another building and was just ok, a normal hotel, but this week in August made me decide that never again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Overall a good experience, but with an important area for improvement.
Overall, we had a good experience: the facilities are well maintained, the food and drinks are of good quality, and the amenities offered were enjoyable for the whole family.
However, one aspect that really affected our comfort was the air conditioning. Both in the rooms and in most indoor areas, the temperature was noticeably high. This caused considerable discomfort, especially when trying to rest or spend time inside.
It's definitely something the hotel should look into, as it significantly impacts the overall guest experience.
We stayed for 5 nights and basically just used it as a home base that we explored from. The all-inclusive portion was not worth it in the end for us due to the VERY limited food options and super slow bar service (too few bartenders to keep up with the crowd). There’s a breakfast/dinner buffet that has pretty good food, but was only open until noon and then reopened at 6:30pm. One weird thing is that the lunch buffet hours didn’t overlap with the breakfast buffet, so there’s an hour from 12:00-1:00pm that we couldn’t get food unless it was room service but that’s an additional fee. There were 2 restaurants that you need reservations for that are open only in the evenings. The Italian restaurant had great food and service. The steakhouse was extremely slow and missed some of our orders, didn’t refill our drinks, etc. even though it was not busy at all. We even tried it twice with the same results. It was disappointing. Our room was pretty clean but was super hard to keep cool and often smelled like sewer. We ended up buying a box fan when we were out one day and it made a HUGE difference in our sleep. Oh and the beach. This is not their fault of course, but it was full of seaweed this time of year. I mean FULL. We went to Isla Mujeres 3/5 days and it was absolutely beautiful everywhere we went. Overall I would say it’s good enough if using it as a landing spot at night, but skip the all-inclusive option and eat great food somewhere else.
