My stay at Grand Oasis Cancun was, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing travel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this property is not maintained to the standards you would expect from a resort of its size or price. The room was dirty—not just overlooked, but neglected—with visible signs of poor cleaning and little attention to detail. Public areas weren’t much better, with trash left around and facilities that looked tired and uncared for.
But the worst part of the entire experience was the attitude of the staff. Throughout my stay, I was met with rudeness, unhelpfulness, and in several situations, outright disrespect. At times it felt as though guests were treated as a burden rather than valued customers. Basic courtesy and professionalism—the bare minimum in the hospitality industry—were completely absent.
On top of that, there were long lines for everything—check-in, bars, and even restaurants. Drinks were limited per person, which is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort. There was always a wait, even though I visited in October, which isn’t even a busy season. The property was overcrowded, disorganized, and completely failed to deliver the relaxing experience you expect when booking an all-inclusive stay.
