"Na Balam was a great little boutique group of villas. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. It rained a lot when we were there and they were kind enough to give us a really late checkout so we didn't have to try to get to/take the ferry in the pouring rain. The place was really quaint and feels secluded, even though it's near everything. Just to be clear, it's not on the beach, but it's a 2 minute walk to get the Playa Norte without the Playa Norte prices. It really felt like you were in a villa in the rain forest with really nice trees and palapas roofs. The whole place felt like there was considerable thought put into it's design and every part of it felt like it flowed well with nature. It was very quiet and relaxing. There was even a yoga session in one of the buildings that was relaxing to listen to while sitting in the pool. If you want to party and have a wild time in Mexico, this is not the place for you. If you want to relax and feel like you're at a yoga retreat in the rain forest, while still being close to everything Isla Mujeres has to offer, this is the place for you. "
