I would not recommend this resort. We have been to 7 other all inclusives in Punta Cana and I have never left a review. We stayed in the sunclub-not worth the upgrade in my opinion. The restaurants take HOURS to get into if you can get in at all. Certain restaurants are only open Thurs-Sat. If you are there for a week it’s important to get into them. The hostess at these restaurants are extremely rude. I have never been to a resort with such rude staff. In the morning it is impossible to get coffee or drinks. After the first day we realized we needed to bring bottled water to breakfast or we would just not have a drink. On our 2nd day the resort ran out of certain alcohol. Count not even get a margarita at the pool. Mimosas were impossible to find. Things I have never experienced on vacation. Lunch was a nightmare. Everyday the beach grill ran out of food. After waiting in the extremely long line just to be told there were out of 1 thing or another -30 mins after opening. All in all I would not recommend nor will we ever go back.

Too many people for the facility, constant battle to find beach or pool chairs. Poor restaurant logistics- lines to get in, but empty tables once in. No bookings available in the app, but then empty tables. Paid for SunClub experience, but not enforcement of exclusive areas. Over-charged for late checkout. Nightly entertainment was good, room was good.

The whole experience was just not up to par. When we( myself and my flight attendant )first arrived and stood in line for who knows how long, as we finally get to the check-in desk we were told we are at the wrong place for checking in cuz we are “VIP” status. (That only meant you were given a “golden” paper key and as I found out later they tried to sucker ya into attending a 90 min. sales pitch/session as to why you need to buy a time share with Hyatt.) After getting check in we walked back to check on the status of our luggage only to find out it would be about an hour or so for bell staff to deliver our bags to our rooms! We told them heck no and found our luggage among all the other bags, grabbed them and headed to our rooms. The rooms were just so so as my room the a/c wasn’t working properly. Upon entering the room it was fridged cold which felt good at first but then went to turn the temp. up but nothing happened, so turned the a/c fan from MED. to LOW which I discovered later did NOT work and the unit stopped working all together. So either you were freezing or you got so warm you could sleep! First night was miserable, to say the least! Maintenance was contacted but nothing was done as the control switches were unavailable so put up with the on/off of the ac. Early morning around 4:50am that same very morning was woken up by a loud voice over the loudspeaker in the hall, informing everyone to immediately evacuate their rooms due to the building, being unsafe.

First, booked two rooms, gave one and waited hours for the second room. Rooms pretty rundown, towel rack broken, balcony door broken. One room, 3 out of last 4 days no hot water. They also somehow booked our two rooms to someone else as middle of the night someone came in and the other room key stopped working. Went down to front desk and staffs were not apologetics. We have the right to be upset!. A la carte restaurants food not as bad as the buffet. As the staff, not as attentive, no cups no water and no utensils most of the time. Only complaint on A la carte is Sunny Side staff, maybe because booked last timeslot and we were rushed. Took my wife plate when she's not finish. I would say most staffs friendly but not all. Room housekeeping did pretty good job making the bed and changing towels. Last, the beach sea weed sea weed everywhere and I mean a lot when staff used a dozer to clean the sea weed but did not do a good job. Over all, I would not recommended this resort to friend or family. We can say worst staying in any on Caribbean Island.
