Staff was great. Beach was great and pools were great. Rooms could use some upgrades. The food was good, the buffet was overcrowded and chaotic. there needs to be a better method for making reservations. We waited in line for an hour and a half to make reservations and we were not able to eat at three of the restaurants because they were booked.

Staff were very friendly. Pool and beach are beautiful, and rooms are clean. Only negative is it’s very hard and almost impossible to get restaurant reservations. So we had to stick with the main dining hall food for majority of the trip which wasn’t the greatest/hit or miss. But overall a great time!

The hotel is really big with several pools and access to a nice beach. Because the hotel is so large, there is also a lot of people especially during high season, for that reason the buffet can get crowded and the restaurant reservations can be hard to get. I recommend you inquire about the premium stay which would give you access to a less crowded buffet. The staff is very nice, they try their best to accommodate the guests when possible. Some of the staff that stood out to us was Joselito at the restaurants, he always had a smile on his face! Yordi, our concierge who went above and beyond to get us restaurant reservations, gave us recommendations on tours, took time to sit with us and share more about the country and its history and contacted other departments when we ran into small issues. Likewise, José Rafael took time out of his schedule to help us get a couple of small things fixed in our room and stayed in touch throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. His professionalism was unmatched and we are thankful to have met him. Overall our stay was great, we enjoyed the food, the beach and the entertainment offered by the hotel.

The hotel is more on the older side however they do a good job to maintain the the grounds clean and offer great amenities like towels, entertainment and food. The restrooms need a little more attention. The value came in the price.

We enjoyed a great week at this resort! The pools are clean and large, you can float alone or join into one of the activities. Our room was clean. The staff are friendly. The food was good, with variety at both the buffet and the individual restaurants. The beach is outstanding, and the reason we keep returning. It has shade areas and sun, with clean, soft, white sand. It is a wonderful, relaxing view of the continuous blue waves.

The hotel offers 3 amazing pools. One designated for little ones with slides. The recreation team was very kind and funny. They also offered a trapeze for all guests. The food was very good- lot of variety. We got a beautiful garden view. The New Year celebration was a blast! We really happy with our choice.

El cuarto fue definitivamente una pieza clave por la cual no puedo darle a nuestra vacación, 5 estrellas. El día de check-in, una pared del baño con un receptáculo electrico estaba rota, con huecos, piezas de cemento en el suelo, justo al lado del lavamanos y tenía una menor de edad con nosotros en la habitación lo cual es un hazard. Fue arreglado el mismo día per ningún cuarto debe estar en esas condiciones a la hora de ser entregado a un huésped. Deben tener un protocolo de inspección. Había una gotera en el a/c que caía sobre el mini bar y llegaba hasta el suelo, completamente empapado día y noche. La caja fuerte tampoco funcionaba. El televisor solo contaba con 4-5 canales locales. Exigí cambio de habitación más sin embargo no fue otorgado. Comida y bebida: no esperaba comida de la mejor calidad, estaba bastante decente tomando en consideración el precio a pagar. La bebida….. no esperen embriagarse. Ese alcohol que sirven no cabe duda que está diluido con agua o lo reemplazan con uno de muy baja calidad y lo ponen en botellas de renombre para engañar al huésped. Puro agua y azúcar. Staff: ídolos todos. La atención fue impecable. Nicol y Yolanda del spa, fueron muy atentas y serviciales. Sebastián, tremendo tipazo también. Pero aquí el galardón a la MVP se lo lleva Ana Rivera la cual apodamos “avispita” porque para esa chica no había nada imposible. Ana se ganó el corazón de nuestros niños (3) y por ende el de nosotros los padres. Le cogimos muchos cariño.

Good stay if on a budget & want to get away, service was friendly, sometimes a bit slow; room was clean upon arrival but during our stay it could have been better stocked in the bathroom, grounds, pool, and beach all very clean; bar staff below La Mexicana were Espectacular( Manuela & José (?); he’s been there 10years!) Main buffet was good- you must make a dinner reservation for all other restaurants- I’d go back for relaxation
