The room was OK, nothing great. It was clean but not 5 star in my opinion. Finding helpful staff is possible but challenging. For the most part, they just don’t seem that excited to make your stay there special. We asked for bottled water a few times, rarely got a response from anyone or the water we asked for. It seemed like we were more of a burden than guests.

We upgraded to premium package. Had cabana on the beach with Enmanuel taking great care of us. Edward was pur butler who made reservations at restaurants, etc. Was available 24 hrs to assist with anything. Hotel is a little but dated but service, especially with upgrade was great. Calicho for breakfast and lunch and la bohemme for dinner were our best choices.

I did not personally enjoy my time. I had many issues with resort. The only good part, the best part, was Rodney (our personal butler). He did everything he could to make our stay a good one. My sister was injured and we needed a bandaid, there was no first aid kit anywhere. We had to go on a search asking around for a bandaid and needed to clean her wound with vodka. There was no evening entertainment and nobody knows where anything is. The restaurant staff is very unhelpful and not friendly. I did enjoy the gym, they had an excellent fitness center. We had a late flight and asked for a late check out from the moment we arrived. They pushed up until our last day just to tell us that we could not have one. They locked us out of rooms even before our check out scheduled time. For what is supposed to be a high-end resort, I found them to be very cheap and not accommodating.

We stayed for 9 nights at TRS, and this is definitely a place for older individuals, so if you're looking to party, this isn't the place to pick. We had a swim up room which was a nice touch. This is the first all-inclusive resort I've stayed at that I genuinely found myself bored. No pool activities (besides once where they danced at pool side) "Scheduled" activities in the daily texts we received almost never happened. The food was mediocre at best (Room service food was awful.) Our bed sheets were never washed for the 9 days we stayed there; they only ever remade the bed for us. We spent a lot of our stay at the resort next to us, since we had access to the other resorts. Those resorts at least had music, activities, pool volleyball, etc. Things you look forward to at all-inclusive resorts. Entertainment in the lobby at TRS included a violinist and people that would sing, maybe it just wasn't our jam, but very slow paced and not the typical upbeat party environment we usually are in. Some workers were very friendly, while others, if you don't speak Spanish, they don't want much to do with you (which, maybe we should have brushed up on our Espanol, but still... I don't think you should receive the cold shoulder). All in all, I would not stay at this resort again due to the mild slow-paced environment, no activities, etc. I would have rather stayed at the resort next door even though it wasn't adults only, we at least had fun over there and there were things to do.

Eury the concierge was amazing! He went out of his way to help every time we needed anything. All employees were wonderful and housekeeping did an amazing job as well; they always left the room spotless. Had Marlene in the spa and she was perfect.
