We enjoyed our stay here for our family of 4.. we were lucky to have such great service from Any Liriano at the guest services. One mistake we made was not booking our excursion through the hotel at the lobby. We booked with the group who sells around the pool and buffet, apparently they don’t work for the resort. On the day of our excursion my wife and kids were sick (pretty sure it was from the frozen chocolate coffee cause they all got it and got sick, I did not have one and was fine)the company who sold us our excursion were not going to let us change dates without a doctors note from the resort doc (prob $300) I told Any our story and she took care of it, we changed dates of our excursion. She also checked in on them daily, sending gatorades for them… huge thanks to Any. Water park was fun, and food was great! The entertainment group worked hard and put on lots of activities, they were great

The changes to The Level over the last 5 years have only seen benefits taken away. The beach longer offers a convenient option to get food as it was taken over by Zel. Also the change to no longer offering a concur/ butler is concerning. Our concierge for the last 19 years (Eddy Sambo) no longer has this role, impacting his livelihood and guests stays. We love the resort and people but have been disappointed each year to see the changes that have not been added service

I was really excited to stay here because I visited a few years ago for a wedding. However, when visiting again with my wife and toddler, I was 100% disappointed. Our rooms AC unit was down two times. After switching rooms, the cool started kick in a little but not completely.There was a leak coming from the ceiling. The building definitely needs some work. The first night, our pillow cases and sheets had stains. Made me question the cleanliness of the rooms. We made a reservation at the steakhouse and waited an hour to be seated and didn’t start eating until an hour after that. Having that experience did not make us want to pay for the Hibachi experience. We expressed our concerns to Oscar at guest services about the non working AC unit the first two night and ceiling leak.. he offered to give us a beach cabana for free, discounted (not free) experience at the hibachi spot, or changing our room again. To switch rooms for the 2nd or 3rd time would’ve been too much especially being we were already approaching our final hours of our trip. I feel in situations like this, a credit of some sort should have been applied or maybe after the first night with the defected AC unit, a room upgrade would be nice. The MAIN Highlight of the trip was the Meliá bartender, Olimer! He’s at the olives bar in lobby area (3p-11p)! He was amazing, attentive to all guests and personable! I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all but if you plan to or have no choice, pay a visit to Olimer!

Good hotel, but unacceptable handling of theft The hotel itself was good, and the stay started well. However, my watch was stolen from my room during my stay. I reported the theft immediately, and the staff came to the room right away to make a report. After extensive discussions, the hotel claimed they were not responsible and refused to compensate me for my stolen property. This response is unacceptable, especially considering the theft happened inside the hotel room. This situation completely ruined my experience, and I would not feel comfortable staying here again.

The hotel is a little old, the rooms should be remodeled and adapted for the high cost they have. the staff and the general online service very good. the food in the buffet excellent, the experience in the restaurants very low should improve the menu and the quality of the portions and the quality of the food in the specialty restaurants. and the tour to know the other hotels in the chain and the offers or promotions offered by one should fight to make them be It takes a little more organization when it is high season and there is a large volume of people to have the pools on time.

The staff here are AMAZING!! We originally booked elsewhere and had so many issues that we ended our last 5 nights at Melia Caribe and it was amazing. The staff are so friendly and really want to make your stay great. We arrived at almost 11pm and they placed us vip, room near the ocean and happily welcomed us at that time of night. Food was good but what makes this place amazing is there is something for the kids to do the whole day! Water park during the day, playstations for the kids, game room and a separate play place you take a shuttle to for miniature golf, rope climbing. Nightlife was always going on. Although resort needs some upgrading i would gladly come back for the staff and endless things to do for my son. Thank you for making our trip a memorable one! We are so grateful to the staff and will be back in a few months! My son loves it so much and didn't want to leave! Thank you again for everything!
