The hotel riu republica is disater the resort is in a deplorable condition and stink and musty.the linen and towels are discolored old and dingy the furniture in the rooms are terrible the bathrooms are dirty the ice machines needs cleaning.the plugs in the room doesn't work except for 1 both of us has to take turns to use the 1 plug, the hair dryer on the wall in the bathroom doesnt work, the safe doesnt work this property is old and dilapidated should be taken off the website. The hallways to the rooms is another story i dont think this property has a general manager and if it does they are doing a horrible job.the best part of the trip is when we went to the other riu for jungle party.

Staying at the Riu replublica was not a deception, because I did my research and every single review was bad! Rooms are very dirty, and food is very limited.Personal had a bad mood and attitude every single day.The customers… well it's not the best. My recommendation is not to go .Pays little more a get a best option

This place is like the bottom feeder of resorts, more for high school kids on spring break. Wake up to vomit by your front door, be approached by drug dealers and prostitutes, then this place is for you. The hotel safety is lax and the quality is low. This place will make you rethink ever going to Punta Cana again. Hotel was complicit and disregarded complaints to do something about it. Not a safe place.

Quite terrible staff over all, out of everyone we met the nicest was at check in. They gave me issues about exchanging towels as they were dirty. Bartender at the sports bar acted like she didn’t understand what I was saying even tho I speak fluent Spanish. The attitude of the staff overall was horrible. As someone who goes to Riu hotels in other countries the bar is really low at this location. Room was also not the cleanest one day they didn’t come to clean the room although we put that it needed service. The beach was not clear and the current was described to us as people drown in it which is something they should tell you prior to booking.

The property was beautiful for the most part. Some age showing in our room but everything was good. The casual dining food had good variety and was good. The buffet's were honestly better than the specialty restaurants. We did NOT particularly enjoy any of the specialty restaurant food. They were not bad just not very good. The best part of the resort were the staff, bar tenders and overall atmosphere.

This resort was very nice and accessible. There were plenty food options, and plenty bars. It was really all inclusive. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Had a good time overall. Lounging on the beach and the pool bars especially. Food had a wife variety but wouldn't say the anything tasted amazing. Couldn't enjoy sitting on my balcony for 3 days cause of a smoke alarm going off in an adjacent room nearby. Had reported it to guest services and took 3 days to be fixed. Wasn't pleasant. Could use more beer varieties than Presidente

Their needs to transportation to the night party. and better pest control in the rainy season we had two roach's in our room other then will go back for a 3dr time
