Inglewood is known as the "Harbor of the Air" because of its close proximity to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Long Beach Airport (LGB), Santa Monica Airport (SMO) and Compton/Woodley Airport (CPM). Although close to downtown Los Angeles, there is plenty of nightlife in Ingelwood itself, especially along Manchester Boulevard.
