"Very dim lighting, and dark design. Low energy. Room has no privacy for family. Glass shower and glass toilet room, open concept at the room entrance. AC was too strong and no fan option to keep a breeze. Drawer was broken, and closet creeked with poor hangers. Food quality is sub par at all the restaurants and buffet such as no seasoning (simple as salt & pepper) food was never hot. Found them giving minors alcohol drinks, multiple occasions. Resort should offer more fans to circulate the air for a breeze in waiting areas, and walking paths. Hospitality was top notch and we enjoyed the service. Really pushy individual sales for excursions that should be limited to one location for people to visit if interested and not be hounded on the beach, lowering the quality of the beach experience."

"I think the resort is extremely overpriced. It's a massive property and a lot of the hospitality feel is lost as a result. Most of the workers do not make you feel welcome -- some do, but it's very hit or miss. I've experienced much better service at other resorts that are half the price. They don't even smile here. The rooms need to be updated, and many of the fixtures in my room were broken or work (i.e. toilet seat and tissue holder). There was also a lot of rust. The food at La Isla was the best on property -- the breakfast at The Market was very lackluster, cold, bad quality. It was also next to impossible to get a dinner reservation at the nicer restaurants, even trying to book a few days out. The shuttles ran consistently, but the place is not very walkable. They need better signage, it's very easy to get lost. The pool was ok, and there is an adults only pool if you don't want to be around kids all day. The golf course was in good shape, but overpriced compared to quality places like Punta Espada and PGA 4. They did have decent rental clubs, but you had to rent for $70 USD. Overall, I don't recommend this place. For what you're paying a night, it's simply not worth it. "

"Cannot go wrong with resort, the resort is beautiful it is well maintained gorgeous ocean/beach view. Unfortunately the food was bad, we usually try to eat at each restaurant for dinner to try try them all, but ended up skipping two of the restaurants and decided to just eat at the buffet, in this case buffet food was way better then at the restaurants. I would recommend this resort as long as food is not a deal breaker."

"Our experience at the resort was disappointing overall. Some staff members, particularly at the front desk and in the restaurant, were rude and unhelpful, though not all of them, there were a few who were polite. Unfortunately, the food quality was poor, and several people in our group became ill. On a positive note, the cleaning staff member assigned to us was very kind and provided excellent service, which we appreciated."

"Let’s start off with the good the WEATHER was great 7 days of sun. But let’s get to the good part. This place needs a major upgrade to the rooms.. furniture outdated and not so clean We had the platinum room or section or whatever they called it .. the PBG restaurant was EXCELLENT lol. The other places were terrible.. food trucks are good for fries and cheese sticks. The Japanese restaurants are terrible and made me sick. The trolly service is so slow and they need more to accommodate the big property, at times it’s a 30 minute wait ..but back to the rooms we literally fought off mosquitoes every day in the room all over the place. We called the front desk and they sprayed something and it was like toothpaste to the mosquitoes they kept coming. We killed at least 300 during our stay and I took pics of them dead all over the walls and room. Room 5413 Needs to be cleaned and redone because it’s mosquitoes blood splattered everywhere.. so after all that we woke up to a half dollar sized ROACH … I actually saved it and took pics for them to see .. I was ready to leave but we had 1 more day.. It’s 1 thing to see em outside but in the room I cannot. For $2500 dollars US not including flights $3600 to fight mosquitos and find roaches. This was a HORRIBLE RESORT .. 0 out of 10. The good didn’t outweigh the bad. Bad was just bad. Of and let’s not forget the lady just walking into our room without knocking or anything.. and our ceiling started leaking .pics to prove it NEVER AGAIN"
