Don't worry about parking. Take the TRAX Light Rail to Salt Lake City International (SLC) for easy access to the terminals. Pack a good book, as flights usually last for around four-and-a-half hours. New York City traffic is profoundly difficult, particularly for an out-of-towner. Don't fight it. Instead, ride the NYC Airporter from New York La Guardia (LGA) to Grand Central Station and use NYC's public transit system during your stay.
When you arrive at Grand Central Station, take time to explore the sites. Not only is this an NYC transportation hub, it is also a tourist destination in its own right. Grab a bite to eat or tour the shops in this majestic depot. After you've checked in and ditched your luggage, head to Times Square. This Midtown Manhattan hotspot is full of crowds, shops and restaurants. There is so much to see in this stretch of the city that you couldn't possibly experience it all in one day, or even one week, for that matter. Before you leave New York City, visit Lady Liberty. For easiest access to Liberty Island, take a ferry from Battery Park.
For easiest access to NYC's most popular attractions, select a midtown hotel. New York City's weather changes seasonally. Winters can be snowy, so avoiding this season is ideal, unless you want to visit for the holiday festivities for which the city is so famous.
