Hanover, Maryland, is a suburb of Baltimore and home to Arundel Mills, one of the largest shopping, dining and entertainment complexes in the United States. Hanover also houses the Maryland Live Casino, a $500 million gaming and entertainment destination. Due to its close proximity to Baltimore, visitors enjoy quick access to attractions such as the Inner Harbor, Baltimore Aquarium and Camden Yards. Hanover is also just 30 miles from the attractions of Washington, DC, including the Smithsonian, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, and the John F. Kennedy Center.
Hanover is conveniently located just five miles from the Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), a major hub providing service among 11 airlines. The city is well connected to both the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas via major highways such as Interstate 95, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Route 100. In addition, the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) operates train and bus service between Hanover and Baltimore.
Hanover is in the mid-Atlantic region, so there are four distinct seasons. However, Arundel Mills provides indoor entertainment throughout the year at venues including a large movie theater complex, a dinner theater and a huge arcade-style restaurant. In addition, visitors can enjoy live entertainment featuring both national and international artists at the Maryland Live Casino's performance venue.
