Port Columbus International (CMH) lies east of Columbus, OH. Driving to CMH takes about 10 minutes from Columbus using I-670 E. Cancun (CUN) airport is located south of Cancun, on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The flight duration is just over three hours from CMH to CUN. Private and shared cars or vans are the optimal way to leave CUN, and taxis are located outside terminals 2 and 3.
Cancun has many all-inclusive beach resorts with spas, golf courses and seaside fun. Enjoy coastal adventures such as snorkeling to the Cancun Underwater Museum. Xel-Ha Park is an energetic theme park 90 minutes south of Cancun. Chichen Itza is a frequented Mayan ruins site about two hours from Cancun. El Rey Ruins are a closer and equally amazing option. It is also popular to take a ferry to Isla Mujeres to experience a peaceful day on the sparsely populated island.
Like most of Mexico, Cancun maintains high temperatures throughout the year, with the winter months ranging from the mid-70s to low-80s and the summertime reaching in the 90s. If you are headed to Isla Mujeres, the ferry stations are Gran Puerto, Puerto Juarez and Punta Sam.
