When you visit Wisconsin Dells, take a boat tour on one of the Wisconsin Ducks, and see the beauty of the area carved out by the Wisconsin River. On a tour of the Upper Dells, you can see Witches Gulch. Summer or winter, a favorite spot is the indoor and outdoor Kalahari Waterparks. The Kalahari Indoor Theme Park provides year-round activities like laser tag and miniature golf. Visit the H.H. Bennett Studio to learn about the local history.
Most people drive to the Dells, but there is also an Amtrak station located downtown. The nearest airport is Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison, about 55 miles away. There are a number of hotels downtown and in the nearby Lake Delton area, but you can select a hotel right along the Wisconsin River. Once you get to your hotel, you can walk to the attractions in the area. Many hotels also offer free shuttle service for guests to get to different sites.
This area is known for its fudge and little cafes. Try a local restaurant for good food at a reasonable price. Walk downtown at night to shop the boutiques and try the fudge. On Sunday afternoons, there is free entertainment in the park downtown.
