"The good part. Very spacious especially for New York. Well situated. Very convenient to have a kitchen. On the downside. No A/C!! We got told by staff that their system is in heat mode and they cannot change it. Yet A/C was full blast in the hallways. We had a full sun facing room. They told us to sleep with windows open, a total joke for a city like New York that’s active all day and night. Very small bathroom, you can only be one at a time even though the rooms can have 5 people. The wallpaper was stained, couches were stained, telephone was dirty, sink was clogged."

"Room was INCREDIBLY loud. I would not recommend staying here if you intend on having a good nights sleep. The elevators are a disaster. The room service is slow after 7pm. Front desk was less than enthusiastic to help. The Carlyle, The Surrey or even The Four Seasons midtown are better picks."

"It depends on what you're looking for. If you want fancy, amenities, this isn't for you. If you're looking for an affordable alternative to stay in Manhattan that is clean, with great owners, in a quiet, safe neighborhood, and just worried about a place to lay your head for the night, then this is the place for you. Being in East Harlem, it's a 3 block walk off the 6 train (2 down and 1 over), we found several excellent places in the area to eat that were clean, with good portions, at prices cheaper than I can eat in CT. We had an excellent experience, and will be staying here again in the future"

"No restaurant. I was on the sixth floor, I had to go all the way to the basement for ice. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room down."
