Manila Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) is a 20-minute drive south from Manila. It can be accessed via the NAIA Expressway, which connects to Roxas Boulevard, or via Sales Road from the Metro Manila Skyway.
Flights from NNL to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) generally require one layover, so flight duration is anywhere from 19 to 36 hours.
Once at JFK, you can take the AirTrain to the subway, or a public bus or taxi to your destination. If you're driving, you'll reach Manhattan in about 30 minutes by taking the Van Wyck Expressway to Grand Central Parkway.
The Big Apple is one of the most visited cities on earth, so there's no shortage of attractions. Be sure to visit Grand Central Terminal, the GE Building, Freedom Tower, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building.
Visit Ellis Island, Radio City Music Hall or the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Eat a variety of food from authentic dim sum in Chinatown to hot dogs in Coney Island.
New York's climate changes with the seasons, so pack appropriately. Winters can be cold and snowy, and summers can feel humid. Most travelers try to find hotels near iconic areas like Times Square, but expect to pay extra for the convenience.
