"When I first tried to check in the battery was dead on the lock to to my room so I couldn’t get in. When I went downstairs to talk to the check-in person she told me that she couldn’t assist me because maintenance was not on site and the hotel was completely booked and had no other rooms. She finally gave me another room that had had an ozone machine in earlier. I specifically asked her if the machine was in there because of smoking, She stated No. I don’t like being lied too because when I went into the room the room and bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke and nicotine. I am in the housing industry and know why ozone machines are usually used for. I made her aware that I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke that was why I asked the question. Being told NO then walking into a room like that was unacceptable. If it wasn’t so late at night and after a long flight I would’ve canceled my reservation and I would’ve gone to the hotel next-door. Not to mention that the AC didn’t work either. I had to go back downstairs and deal with the same girl again about being lied to and wanting another room. Again she said she did not have any other rooms. It told her to call her manager and find me another room. It was 11:30pm by this time. They switched rooms with someone who had not checked in
I also find it very unprofessional when the staff at the hotel are hanging out with their spouses, friends and whoever else they decide to allow to hang out while they were on their shift.
