"Clean and very friendly staff, everyone was so nice. When you walk in there’s a Starbucks in the corner and lobby is beautiful. Would not stay again because the rooms are old and outdated. No microwave in any room, what’s so ever. Brought some pizza back and couldn’t eat it. Very old tv, it looks like a microwave. We got put in the wrong room but didn’t complain because we didn’t really mind even though the bed was smaller then what we paid for. Dock parking- 4day parking with hotel discount, $180 total."

"Great price, middle of the action! Very noisy outside with horns, fire trucks, general New York action. I had trouble sleeping. The room was cozy, but not designed well. The bed frame had sharp corners that I have bruises on my knees from, and the wash cloth dropped into the toilet twice. I was surprised there was no central coffee, hot water for tea or microwave in the lobby, but when I asked, they brought an electric kettle to the room which was great."

"We had an amazing stay at Civilian Hotel—it was the perfect choice for our first time in New York. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special, and the team really went out of their way to make my fiancé’s birthday unforgettable. The views from the hotel are incredible, giving you that classic New York skyline feel. There’s a fantastic bar downstairs with live jazz that created such a great atmosphere in the evenings, and the rooftop bar with a DJ set was the perfect place to celebrate. What really stood out was the staff—always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay as a couple. Highly recommend!"
