Be in Shenandoah National Park in less then 15 minutes!
Our home is special to us and we hope it will be to you as well. We are located on Swift Run, which is a stocked trout stream- you will need a Virginia fishing license and trout stamp, stocking is usually Oct-Feb. Outside we have a patio to enjoy sitting and relaxing listening to the river and grilling out along with 2 wood fire pits. Inside you can hear the river from both bedrooms.
We have a fully stocked kitchen available for your use. One bedroom has a Queen sized bed, and the other has 2 twin beds. Although our home is small, it's very cozy and comfortable. Kitchen towels, dish washing detergent, trash bags, hand soap and a dishwasher are provided for your use. Bathroom towels and wash cloths are also provided with bedroom linens. We have 3 smart tvs and a DVD player along with high speed internet (100mbps) for your convenience. There are 2 outside fire pits, we try to keep wood there, but it's not always guaranteed.
We have a pack and play (and sheet) and high chair in the closet of the big bedroom. Other items may be available upon request.
We do welcome dogs for a $25 pet fee. No CATS.
We are 12 miles from the entrance to skyline drive and with in 30 miles to UVA. Conveniently located!

Perfectly sized rental for my husband and I and our 2 dogs. Great location. Loved the Swift Run creek that runs right by the house - very peaceful to hear it from inside or outside the house. Kitchen was well equipped for making meals. Host was responsive and easy to contact through the Vrbo app.

This is a great pet friendly rental in a peaceful riverside setting. We loved laying in bed and listening to the river, sitting outside and watching the bumble bees and butterflies flying around. The scenery is beautiful and there is easy access to hiking. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

The Home had everything we needed and was in a lovely setting. The kitchen was well stocked for use and even provided my morning coffee, which was greatly appreciated. It enabled us to bring our dogs with us when visiting our family nearby. The set up is very family friendly with games, books, and space needed for all ages. This property is a very pet friendly cottage in the woods by a stream. It was a very relaxing week away. Dana was very accommodating and a good communicator. We took advantage of all the things to do in the area, Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River State Park and Luray Caverns. We even took walks along the stream. We loved it!

Perfect Shenandoah Base Camp

Dana’s place was a perfect base camp for our trip to Shenandoah. Super easy access to go north or south in the park and a very peaceful environment during our downtime. We loved the outdoor fire pits and being able to listen to the stream at night made for such a lovely stay!
