Our stay at The STRAT did not meet expectations, and we will not be returning.
At check-in, a staff member repeatedly pressured us to accept promotional tickets despite multiple polite declines, which felt unprofessional. Our initial room on the 21st floor had a strong smoke odor, a non-functioning phone and clock, and a broken heating and air conditioning system. After requesting a change, we were moved to another room on the 8th floor for an additional $100+, but the sink and toilet were not working there either.
Maintenance was called, and while addressing the issues, one of the technicians used my personal washcloth to wipe his sweat without permission. I witnessed this and addressed it immediately. This behavior was extremely inappropriate and unacceptable.
We later spoke with two supervisors, Jason and Julio. Julio was professional and accommodating, and we appreciate his assistance. Unfortunately, Jason was not as patient or pleasant when handling our concerns.
Despite the number of issues we experienced, we were also unable to receive a late checkout, which added to the inconvenience of our stay.
While we were offered a $50 food voucher, we do not feel this adequately compensated for the multiple issues we experienced during our stay, particularly given the additional charge for the second room.
Overall, this experience fell far below expectations, and we would not choose to stay here again.
