The listing is very inaccurate, the pictures shown have an infinity pool, tennis court and gym. These things are not provided for you. The area is quiet and relaxed. Overall the trip did not go as planned.

Pictures are misleading

There was many pictures of an endless pool and gym but these are not on the property and when I inquired I was told they are not part of the amenities. This is misleading and wrong. Many other tenants felt the same way. The outside furniture pictures showed cushions but these were missing. We asked to bring them but it was never done, making it uncomfortable to sit outside. Our unit lost power due to a braker issue which took almost 24hrs for someone to come investigate. We lost food in the freezer/ fridge due to this. The kitchen supplies were minimal and toaster was defective. It’s our 3 rental in the last 12 months with VRBO and we’ve always been satisfied renting via owners but this one was managed via a rental management company Vacasa and we will never rent again from them. The staff was very quick to respond to our messages but the issues were never resolved to satisfaction.

Check in was late as we didnt get in until an hour past our check in time and they were clearly rushed as the floor was dirty and I dont think the glasses had been washed in months as they were filthy and I had to wash all of it myself that evening. Many lights were burned out and many were not fixed whe we were there. This is really only an issue of you plan on using the kitchen to cook for dinner. It was really hard to see anything due to burned out lights. The kitchen was horribly stocked with old pans etc and the necessities were not provided (like a bowl!) . The condo itself is as listed online and in good condition otherwise and the location is really great with plenty of parking. The condo is quite large as well with room to spread out. The dishwasher broke but it did managed to get fixed when we where there. The condos water got shut off regularly so we had to call often to get it turned on and hot water was lacking quite often. We had three families and rented 3 condos and unfortunately we had the same experience with one family not having hot water the entire time. I have stayed in Ocotal 3 times and this was my least favourite condo thus far given that the price was quite higher than the others. The property managers were relatively responsive but as I said many things just didnt get actioned like washing dishes or hot water.
