Located in the beautiful sandhills country, close to Ashton, Michigan, this fabulous home and 40 acres of woods and trails offers three bedrooms with a variety of sleeping arrangements including four twin beds, one queen bed, and a toddler bed. With two bathrooms and essential amenities like towels, sheets, quilts, ironing board, an iron, and much more, guests will feel right at home. With 40 acres of hiking trails, a creek, and large yard areas there is plenty to do if you love the outdoors. A basketball pole and hoop, volleyball to set up, yard for kick ball, wiffle ball, or pitch a tent for that back woods camping experience. So much to offer and enjoy! Inside there is a large living/ play area if you are not an outdoor person. Whether you're looking for a soothing retreat or a tremendous adventure, this property is the perfect choice for your next getaway. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place.
The bedroom set up is as pictured, there are two twin beds in one bedroom, one queen bed, and a toddler bed in another bedroom with a bathroom close by. The other 2 twin size beds are in the TV room with a double recliner, small table with two chairs overlooking the beautiful backyard. This room has an adjoining bathroom, which also joins into the hallway to the dining room. The dining room table does have two leafs to go in it to expand to a 6 foot table. The breakfast nook area has a table with two benches and two chairs. Have a quiet moment of relaxation in the good living room/parlor. There is a large room the size of a two car garage that is perfect for indoor play area.
Relax with your morning coffee on the back deck by the little fire pit and the large family fire pit in the evening!
This is our home we live in, but decided to share it when we were not here. So, please be respectful and do not try to enter rooms that are closed off or locked. TYIA!
You are welcome to use the spices and items in the kitchen cabinets. There are dishes and cook ware of all sorts as this is our home and I do not plan on emptying that out each time it is occupied by a guest. Our home will be your home while you are here, and we asked that you please love it and respect it as we do and you do your own home or better! We are working on a few projects, but it is nothing that will detour the beauty of our home and acreage!
This is a little slice of paradise off the beaten path on a dirt road, but only 2 miles from the interstate and 25 miles from Cadillac or Big Rapids Michigan.
It is a perfect little retreat area for your family to get away and connect.
I am hoping to eventually offer it as a wedding venue or daytime family reunion area also.
There is a gate at the drive, that you can close for your privacy to keep company away! It is like you are in your own little gated community! Lol

We are a little over an hour (55 miles)from Ludington State Park/Lake Michigan Shoreline, and approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours south of Mackinac city also Lake Michigan Shoreline! And approximately an hour south from the beautiful city of Petoskey also Manistee, home of Little River casino. If you love room to roam and the great outdoors with your own privacy, then this is the place for you! NO HUNTING ALLOWED ON PROPERTY! No hard liquor or beer, wine is allowed, if you can control it! If there is a mess that has to be cleaned up from over indulging in alcohol, or any signs of alcoholic drinks there will be a $250 cleanup fee in addition to the cleaning fee. Our cleanup girl does not want to have to clean up vomit or vomit stains. No smoking. This might seem like strict rules, but we do not smoke or drink and when we are home, we do not want to get sick from the smell of tobacco. I realize a lot of people have a glass of wine with their meal or to relax in the evening and we do accept that, we just ask that you please control your drink. we want to keep our home a happy place for not only you but other guests that will be arriving after you depart.
