Took us 35+ minutes to find the hotel. Expedia has it listed as “Pottsville inn” and it is actually called “Pottsville Hotel,” which is apparently the old Ramada. The address listed brings you to the back of the building (on the main road), where there is no door, or sign. The building looks like a homeless shelter. It is one of the weirdest places I have ever been too. No furniture in the lobby. The “fitness center” is actually an “arcade,” if you can call it that. The entire common area has a weird oder, and there is a loiterer who is smoking all around the door at the main entrance. The beds roll around on the floor in the room, as there is no rug. Don’t wait your time or money. The only reason we are staying here is because we only paid $27, after using our Expedia credit.

The hotel is under renovation so there are no amenities yet. Late fall 2025. The room was clean and had everything I need and the price was half the main line alternatives. The bed was good and the desk clerk was helpful.

Staff was great although they left the property for lunch and no one was there when we were trying to check in at the desk. Noel, Vincent, Autumn, and the gentlemen who helped with the TV were very kind and hospitable. The facility itself is not new and has undergone soft renovations with paint and flooring over the years. The service was better than years past when we have stayed there, and glad that breakfast in the English Room is back when it was discontinued during the pandemic. This was our first stay since 2022.

Good place to spend a night if you are in pottsville area. The staff is very helpful, pleasant, and friendly. Making up for the mildly over priced room and the lack luster continental breakfast.
