"We ended up staying at the Driftwood Inn for one night after our travel plans changed, and it turned out to be a great find. The place has a really neat vibe to it. It’s beachy, laid back, artistic, and a little eclectic in the best way. Everywhere you look there are interesting details—from the artwork and gift shop to the handmade birdhouses for the purple martins. There are also plenty of places to just sit and relax, whether that’s on a swing, around a fire pit, or simply enjoying the beachfront setting. Tristan was great to work with. We were looking for a room at the last minute, and he was friendly, helpful, and made everything easy. What’s funny is that we’d noticed the Driftwood on a previous trip and thought it looked like a cool place. When we suddenly needed somewhere to stay, it was the first place that came to mind. We were fortunate enough to get a room, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. We were only there for a night, but we’d absolutely stay again. It’s the kind of place that has personality and character, and it feels very different from a typical hotel. If you’re looking for a relaxed beach atmosphere right on the water, it’s worth checking out."

"Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room did have a musky smell that I believe was from the air conditioner. Didn’t make a big deal about it because we were in town for a wedding and were only in the room to sleep for a few hours. As far as cleanliness, there were still a few hairs on the shampoo dispenser in the shower and a pube under the toilet seat. An attempt to clean the bathroom counter had been made but there were still a few smudges of soak and/or toothpaste from the previous occupants that I cleaned up. The room overall could stand to be remodeled. It was dated and the couch and chair had seen their better days. Very slow wifi which makes watching the tv challenging with all of the buffering. I guess I expected a little nicer accommodations for a $200+ room."

"I read all the other reviews before booking. I found the the home to be very clean, and there was more than enough toilet paper. The price was also unbeatable for the area, you can't get a better deal. You really don't have to leave the neighborhood, everything you would want in a beach vacation is on site. Screen shot door and pool codes before you get to there, phone service is spotty in the entire area, even AT&T but you'll experience that everywhere you go in Port St Joe and Mexico Beach. Also good to know, the time will change frequently from one pool chair to the next. I was wondering why I thought it was 3:00 and a few minutes later it was 2:00 and a half hour later it was 3:30. The neighborhood is literally sitting on central time and eastern time zone line. I gave up trying to figure out what time it really was but, if you're on vacation whats it matter!! Would definitely recommend this home."
