Prachtige omgeving, inrichting binnen is niet overdadig maar voldoende. Nadeel 3km onverharde weg, stoffig maar niet moeilijk. Opgepast de tomtom-gps vindt het huis niet, gelukkig behulpzame eigenaars.

Het was fantastisch! Ver boven onze verwachtingen! Aankomst was even spannend vanwege de eerste keer de onverharde weg maar de ontvangst was geweldig! Piero en zijn vrouw stonden ons op te wachten en deden gelijk een rondleiding over het terrein. De rest van de week kwam hij af en toe een verse espresso brengen of een glas koude witte wijn van zijn eigen productie. Nadat wij besloten hadden om een dagje naar Livorno te gaan (waar de familie vandaan komt) heeft Piero het nummer van zijn zoon gegeven die ons een rondleiding heeft gegeven door Livorno en van alles had geregeld. Deze gastvrijheid heeft onze vakantie tot een enorm succes gemaakt en wij komen zeker nog terug. De agritoerismo is prachtig met fijn zwembad en rustgevende natuur. Het ligt midden in de Toscaanse heuvels en heeft daarmee een prachtig uitzicht aan alle kanten. Route: volg niet altijd de tomtom. Rijd naar Fabbrica, dan verder naar Montelopio en op die weg zie je aan de rechterkant op een gegeven moment het bordje Il Gattero. Deze weg sla je in en na 2-3 km zandweg ben je er (let op de huisnummers, wij waren de eerste keer al te vroeg gestopt).

Hele mooie locatie met fijne eigenaren, die alles doen om het je naar de zin te maken. Het Toscaanse diner en pizza-avond zijn aanraders! Wij komen hier zeker nog terug. Let er wel op dat je via Fabricca naar de locatie rijdt, en niet via de andere kant. Het laatste stuk is onverhard en dat is prima te doen, mits je de juiste weg pakt. Wij wisten dit niet en hebben autoschade opgelopen door de vele gaten in de weg. Gelukkig hebben de eigenaren ons goed geholpen met het vinden van een geschikte (en goedkope) garage.

Wij hebben een toptijd gehad bij Massimo en zijn gezin! Het zijn enorm hartelijke, gezellige mensen die je met alles willen helpen. De locatie is top, je zit in de bergen op een prachtige, afgelegen plek met mooi uitzicht, maar kunt naar genoeg stadjes en plekjes rijden om dingen te ondernemen zonder te lang onderweg te zijn. We hebben maandag mee gedaan met het Toscaanse diner en dat is ook een aanrader! Verder is het zwembad top, de appartementjes zijn fijn en knus en hangt er gewoon een goede sfeer. Let op het vakantiehuis heet Il Gattero. Dat staat hier nergens vermeldt, dus zoek je je rot, maar na het afslaan bij een inieminie straatnaambordje met de nummers '40 t/m 48' moet je nog zeker 10 minuten over een onverharde weg de bordjes Il Gattero volgen, dan kom je er vanzelf. )

Al met al een zeer goede ervaring. Het appartement had een comfortabel bed en was van alle gemakken voorzien. De omgeving was rustig, maar we konden gemakkelijk nabijgelegen steden bezoeken. Een goede keuze voor een stel dat op zoek is naar ontspanning.
