"Very friendly staff and excellent facilities. Great to have the pool available from early morning. Only downside was the restaurant’s bizarre ‘policy’ (apparently the chef’s decision) of trying to charge £3.50 for substituting couscous with mashed potato. According to the receptionist the following day, this has now been stopped, but unfortunately too late to avoid a sour taste at the time of the meal. But well done to the waitress for taking note of our concerns and passing them on to management "

"We absolutely loved our trip to Buxton. The town is lovely with some fabulous independent shops and restaurants. The Opera house is a fab night out. We had a classic room overlooking the crescent. It was absolutely gorgeous, with a welcome plate, Elemis products in the bathroom and a fantastic breakfast. I went in the spa and loved it. We felt it was tremendous value for money and will definietely be back! "

But the second lift being out of order meant we had to wait for the lift when checking out. There was a chair in our room [118] that needed joints gluing and could have collapsed, and somewhere in the bathroom is leaking damp, resulting in a few harmless fruit flies and damagedbath panel and skirting.
