Dawn & Alistair on reception were very helpful, polite and friendly. Although the hotel needs some modernisation throughout it was still very clean, cosy and had a nice feel about it. Very close to the centre too.

The hotel is beautiful, very atmospheric, and the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The bathroom (room 10) had a glass shelf above the sink, which I bumped my head on twice while brushing my teeth - I couldn't see it because it was glass. This is quite dangerous and should be removed. The breakfast was good, although some more fresh fruit would be nice. We stayed the following night at a Premier Inn, where the breakfast was freshly cooked to order, which is what we would expect for an upmarket hotel like the Old Hall.

Staff were very helpful. I was travelling alone with a baby and the front desk staff helped with my bags. Room was nice and clean. Only 2 downsides the pillows were as thin as paper and lumpy in my room and the lift is tiny. As I had a pram only the pram and myself could squeeze in and it was a squeeze. If you’re travelling with children I’d recommend leaving the pram in the car.

It was for an overnight stay. The hotel was beautiful and had character, very pleasant surroundings, felt homely too. Lee the receptionist was delightful, very welcoming and lovely. Other staff were friendly and accommodating. Again the room was excellent and bed was very comfy. I was delighted with my stay. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend staying at the Old Hall Hotel without hesitation.
