The hotel has some great amenities around it, mcdonalds right opposite - hungary horse next door and a mini tesco across the road. We stayed here for the races and the staff were fantastic. I met becka and a blonde woman on the reception and both were absolutely fantastic- so helpful, went above and beyond to help us and check us in as early as they could due to us needing to get ready and they were overall lovley people. The rooms were perfect heaters, fans if needed comfortable beds clean and just what we needed and so cheap!!!!

Easy check in and very friendly staff, useful to also be within very close proximity to the restaurant with the option of room service also. Room was a slightly run down in areas e.g radiator but was to be expected for the very cheap price point in comparison to other hotels around the area. Could also use a toilet brush in the bathroom- But overall a really good stay at a very affordable price point and near to Alton Towers, ideal if travelling from far and need somewhere to stay for a night or two. Also a Tescos and Mcdonald’s within walking distance.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the weathervane. It was very good value for the money it cost. We had the breakfast included option and we're glad we did. The staff were very helpful indeed. We decided to have our evening meal there as well. We both really enjoyed the food which was cooked perfectly and the prices were very much cheaper than we pay in Essex.
