    Pension Steiner is located in a quiet and idyllic location on the edge of the village of Matrei in Eastern Tirol, below Weissenstein Castle. On the 2nd floor there is a well cared for, charming apartment finished with plenty of wood with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. The 2nd sleeping-room is nearby but outside from the appartement. You can spend a wonderful holiday here in the winter! The "TOP-SKIPASS-OSTTIROL" gives you access to 30 ski areas, including the famous Mölltaler glacier in Eastern Tirol and Kärnten! The central location of Matrei in Eastern Tirol is ideal for many different day trips. In the summer many beautiful hiking trails and mountain routes await you in the High Tauern National Park. You can enjoy unlimited nature and pursue many different sporting activities in this area. The hiking paradise for an ideal holiday starts right on the doorstep.     Wunderbare Tage in Osttirol

    Die Wohnung liegt wie beschrieben etwas außerhalb von Matrei, so dass ein Auto oder ein Fahrrad sicherlich sinnvoll, aber nicht zwingend sind. Vor allem im Sommer kommt man sicherlich auch ohne klar, wenn man einigermaßen gut zu Fuß ist. Wir waren zu dritt zum Skifahren dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist wirklich gut, geschmackvoll und vollständig, z. B. auch in der Küche, und alles ist ausgesprochen sauber und aufgeräumt. Ein möglicher Minuspunkt mag sein, dass die Wohnung in Richtung des Treppenhauses und damit in Richtung der Vermieter nicht vollständig abgeschlossen ist, wenn man zwischen den beiden Teilen der Dachgeschoßwohnung durch´s Treppenhaus "unterwegs" ist. Das war für uns aber kein Problem, da die Vermieter ausgesprochen freundlich waren, und ich hoffe, dass auch wir unsererseits sie nicht gestört haben. Auch sind die Bäder nicht eben großzügig. Alles das wurde für uns aber mehr als aufgewogen von der gemütlichen Einrichtung der Wohnung, von einem meiner Meinung nach ausgewogenen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, der Nähe und problemlosen Erreichbarkeit eines wirklich attraktiven Skigebiets sowie dem freundlichen Empfang und hilfeichen Tips der Vermieter. Alles in allem also eine klare Empfehlung!
