You can swim (water shoes are recommended-- rocky shoreline) from the pier or watch loons on this 3000+ acre lake. Fence lake is part of a 6+ lake chain for cruising and it's close enough to Minocqua, Manitowish Waters or the Lake of the Torches Casino for dining and other entertainment option. Silent sports!

The cabin is very well maintained. Beautifully decorated with many lovely antique pieces. Extremely cozy in a beautiful location with a great sunset view. Owners are great to work with. Highly recommend.

The setting was beautiful and quiet. Check-in was easy. The cleanliness of the kitchen and bathrooms had a lack of attention to detail - the cooktop was not clean, some of the dishes needed to be rewashed, and the bathroom sink had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was no dishwasher and so perhaps that is why the dishes were left with spots and fingerprints. The front and back decks had not been swept. There is no laundry available and it would help for travelers to know that and to mention in your handbook where laundry is located close by. We were there for 9 days and had we known beforehand there was no laundry or dishwasher, we would have looked elsewhere. We fortunately had friends in Woodruff that were able to help us out. Circle Drive provides a nice walking loop.
