Entering this characterful cottage, head upstairs, directly into the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The light-filled lounge has a Smart TV and ample seating, with windows offering lovely rural views. There’s a charming country dining table to one side, leading over to the fully equipped and beautifully arranged kitchen. The first bedroom is on this floor: a cheerful double. Back downstairs, you will find the two remaining bedrooms: a twin and a single, both nautically decorated and ideal for younger guests. The cottage also has a refreshing bathroom. Outside, the shared lawn offers plenty of space for children to run and play as you settle back into one of the seating areas with a morning coffee. There’s also a shared games room with a table tennis table and a range of play equipment. Private parking is available for one car.

For days by the sea, you will have a wide choice of destinations, all within 15 miles: the popular resort of Bude is known for its sandy beaches, or you can enjoy the quieter beaches at Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Morwenstow. Inland, walkers can make their way to Penhallam Manor (6 miles), while water sports enthusiasts can head to Tamar Lakes Activity Centre (10.5 miles).
