The hotel is in a nice, peaceful location. I appreciated being on the 7th (top) floor because I didn’t hear any noise from other guests. That was a big plus.
However, I really don’t understand why the beds and pillows were so bad. Most of the reviews mention it, and it’s true. I’ve never encountered such uncomfortable beds and cheap-looking pillows in a hotel before. They felt like something you’d buy for $20. Even the cheapest IKEA mattresses and pillows are better than this. It’s disappointing that a hotel charging resort fees can’t invest in proper sleep quality for its guests.
Also, about that “resort fee” — I don’t see what it was for. There’s nothing that made this feel like a resort.
The room was spacious, and overall the stay was peaceful. But I did get an unpleasant cooking smell in my room at one point, and I still don’t know where it came from.
Another issue was the lack of proper housekeeping. They don’t clean daily unless you ask, and even then it’s minimal. I had to request extra towels and sheets, which they did bring, but I had to take everything off the bed and put the new ones on myself while the staff waited. Since when is that the guest’s job in a hotel?
The TV didn’t work at all — no channels, no Netflix, even though they said it was included. And the Wi-Fi was terrible. I booked this hotel specifically because I was working remotely, and I lost my job because the internet here didn’t meet the minimum requirements. When I called for help, the hotel t
