Maui Seaside Hotel exceeded my expectations! The grounds were immaculate and the staff was so kind and helpful. The room had everything a room needed and you’re in Maui so you should be out exploring anyway! Absolutely gorgeous property and in walking distance of a lot of stores and places to eat! If I have the chance I WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!

The only reason we were staying at this hotel was because our flight would be arriving late and all of the rental car agencies at the Maui airport would have been closed. Our room was extraordinarily basic – like a hotel room from the 1950s - but it was quiet and clean, and had a good shower, good A/C, and comfortable beds. We were extremely disappointed that the airport shuttle stopped running before our flight arrived, so we had to take a taxi from the airport (even though airport shuttle was part of the amenity fee). We did use the shuttle to return to the airport the next morning to pick up our rental car. The location was convenient enough for us to take care of our necessities in the morning, as it was within walking distance to Foodland, Starbucks, Walgreens, and a good gym.

had a very disappointing experience at this motel. It’s an old property posing as a hotel—small rooms, outdated facilities, and a very busy, loud environment. They charge extra amenity fees, and despite claiming local discounts, there were none if you booked through a third party. On top of that, the front desk staff were dismissive and rushed—my conversation was cut short because another person came up. They even slapped on a $25 parking fee without prior notice. It felt like they kept changing policies without any transparency. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There was a bit of misunderstanding during my check in but it was resolved ny Expedia. Overall, my stay was good. The staff were helpful. The location is ideal. The beach is private and has a lot of spaces for you to swim. It’s not a snorkeling spot though. Go for the new rooms when reserving if you are used to new rooms during your other hotel stays. There is no ocean view, only partial ocean view. Tante’s restaurant beside it was great! It’s in central Maui so you have access to all the shoos and restos. I would recommend it if you want a less touristy spot with good access to the beach. Not a snorkeling beach.

The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Changes that I think should be made are to update their furniture. It looked like furniture out of the 50s.
