Famous for its Jelly Belly Factory, the town of Fairfield is situated within the California Coastal Range, sitting at a point nearly equidistant from Sacramento and San Francisco. The region’s coastal ranges and canyons provide visitors with a vast number of recreational opportunities. You can enjoy championship golf, scenic back-roads, orchards and farms, while the adventurous at heart can go hiking, kayaking or on other nature outings.
The town is located at the crossroads of three major routes that connect to San Francisco, Sacramento, the California Delta, and Napa Valley. You can get to the city through nearby international airports. If you come in through Oakland International Airport (OAK), follow Interstate 880 to this area. If you opt for San Francisco International Airport (SFO), use Interstate 5. You may also use US-101 if you decide to land at San Francisco International Airport. Many of Fairfield’s hotels are located along Highway 12, particularly in the Green Valley area.
Fairfield offers a large number of restaurants which range from coffee shops to brew pubs. International cuisine includes, but is not limited to: Italian, Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, American and Cajun. Enjoy these dishes with award winning wines and craft beers, sourced from Solano County and the surrounding areas. Fairfield boasts of a pleasant Mediterranean climate all year round, with more than 300 days of sunshine annually.
