The lobby was sketchy. Overall the hotel was dirty. We did not stay. We left, the room smelled, the room was hot and there was no air conditioning. I am really surprised you Carrie this hotel on your website.

Party Central.

The only reason why I gave this hotel a chance. Is because of its location, but once my fiancé and I got there, it reeked of cigarette smoke, smell and we were missing some items in our room, for example, pillows and hand soap. Also on the 2nd day of our stay there was a big party in one of the rooms next door. We heard some noises that were concerning almost reached out to local authorities about it. This hotel is not for the faint of heart.

Customer service improvements

The stay was great but I saw roaches and a flea was on me while staying in room 303. I did mention this to the desk personnel. Before leaving and I am being harassed by cleaning staff when I am in the common ares of this hotel.

Great beds and pillows, terrific staff & owner.

Short overnight stay. Convenient to train depot. Hotel in process of refurbishing, so there were a few issues, e.g. tv wasn't working, no tissues or cups in the bath, a few gaps in the flooring due to be replaced. But, the staff graciously changed our room and made sure all was well in the new room. It was clean, very comfortable beds and pillows and helpful, friendly staff.

Decent spot

Staff was nice, convenient location to nearby shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet didn't offer much variety, but the coffee was fresh. Was only in town for a follow-up job interview and had pleasant experience with Jack London Inn in the past. So I booked them again and again they delivered. Will stay here again should I have to stay in Oakland.
