When we first arrived an went to check in we realized they were doing remodeling which we were not aware of when we booked the hotel. Check in was fine to start but went down from there. The room they gave us had an a/c unit that was not working. It was like a sauna when we walked in the room. I went downstairs to say something and the guy at the front desk was very accepting or helpful. I told him the room a/c was not working and how hot it was and his answer was I'll send maintenance so he can look at it. I've working in hotels and for a/c companies it was not going to be a quick fix. I argued with the guy for a few minutes he didn't seem to care and even said to me once "I'll get back to you" with me standing right there. Finally he asked if I would like a different room and I said yes. After giving me keys for new room he asked if we made a mess or if he was able to give the room to another person. I said no we didn't but I just told you the a/c doesn't work and you are still willing to give the room to someone. The second room the a/c worked. When we got in the room my husband said to me "Are you sure we are staying at a Marriott and not a Days Inn". This hotel use to be a very nice one but now is very grungy. It definitely does not give off the standard of Marriott that I am accustom to. We have to go back down to Coral Springs at Christmas time and won't stay here again. I had a reservation for then but cancelled it after this visit.
