Romantic cabin in Copperhill with spa tub
Photos provided are NOT shot with wide angle lenses to make everything appear much larger than it is. There is no hill, stairs, road or railroad track between Canoe Cruise and the Ocoee river - home of the 1996 Olympic whitewater events, fantastic tubing and fishing. This is the perfect location. Canoe cruise sits on 2 wooded acres (with an additional 6 ac buffer) that will make you think you are miles from anyone. Yet it is less than 5 minutes from the outfitters, restaurants, shops and stores of Copperhill, McCaysville, and Ducktown and only 15 miles from Blue Ridge. With the Ocoee river in your back yard and virtually every activity within 10 minutes (horseback riding, whitewater, tubing, rafting, ziplining) why would you want to be anywhere else? Electric Vehicle friendly: VRBO ALSO DOES NOT LIST EV CHARGING STATIONS AS AN AMENITY. CANOE CRUISE HAS A Tesla Charger and a NEMA 15-50 plug. NOT hot and steamy on the top level on hot Summer nights. One of the legitimate complaints of this and most other cabins is their inability to adequately cool and remove humidity from the top floor during summer month - in this case where the Master and two other bedrooms are. In July 2018 we installed a VERY quite HVAC unit just for the top floor. Sleep in comfort. You will get a great safe night's sleep in any of our cabin's five bedrooms. Each has a new high end memory foam mattress and hypoallergenic pillows. Both mattresses and pillows are encased in top +quality dust mite protectors so no need to worry about bed bugs or ticks eating on you while you sleep. The entire cabin has just been restained and painted and a 100 ton rock wall installed at the water's edge (to make entry safer and cleaner). This three story cabin has: 3 king bedrooms each with connecting or private baths; 1 queen bedroom and 1 full bedroom. All are filled with custom made furniture that brings the outdoors inside. From the ground floor you can walk out from one of the king bedrooms to the lower patio to enjoy your morning coffee in one of the rocking chairs or swing, or to catch a trout for breakfast. The ground floor also has an entertainment area with a new (6/16) tournament quality pool table, poker table and wet bar with a bar refrigerator. The second (main) level is where you will find a well equipped kitchen, bar, dining and living area with fireplace as well as another king bedroom and laundry room. Whether you exit this level from the front or back you will be on an enormous deck that wraps the entire cabin. On the deck there are enough tables and chairs to feed an army, a new Swiss grill (with supplied gas), a hot tub and an outdoor fireplace to take the chill off during the cool evenings. The third floor is where you will find the master bedroom - with its own private fireplace and balcony overlooking the river. The master bathroom has two lavatories, shower and a two-person jacuzzi style tub. Our children's rooms are also on the third level - a queen bedroom with a window that overlooks the living room and a small full bedroom that seems to be the favorite for those that like some isolation. There is also a half bath on this level. The yard is an outdoor play-land with volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, croquette, and the always popular Ocoee River. Everyone eventually ends up in the river: to fish, float, paddle, swim or just to wade and look for river treasure. There is something here for everyone. At night, light a fire in the fire pit and enjoy some smores or roast some hot dogs. We have just had 100 tons of large rock brought in to construct a rock wall along the water - complete with rock steps leading down in to the water. We have also added a NEMA 15-50 plug as well as a Tesla charger to charge your electric vehicle. Rafting and Ziplining - Guests of Canoe will receive VIP treatment and a 30% discount from the premier outfitter on the Ocoee - Wildwater. Please ask for details.

    Great Place

    An absolutely beautiful cabin on a picturesque piece of the Ocoee river. Owner was excellent about communication and it's close to a lot of fun outdoor activities. If you're looking for an awesome place in the woods to spend a relaxing vacation look no further rent this place.

      Gorgeous

      We stayed at Canoe Cruise in October 2019. It was so pretty, the owner was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. It is very secluded, which is what we loved about it.

        Exceptional location

        Whether you’re seeking an amazing location for your next outdoor adventure or a serene retreat to rejuvenate, this is THE place for both! Not only is the cabin close to great hiking and whitewater rafting, the quaintness of the towns within minutes of the cabin provided opportunities to enjoy local cuisine and art. For those that love to cook, this cabin’s kitchen has everything (and more)! By far, the best stocked kitchen with nearly every item you’d need to entertain. Love love, love how inviting the decor was and the beds super comfy! The owner is incredibly responsive and quick to offer local hot-stops to make your trip memorable. He even offered to connect us to outdoor outfits to enhance our time by jumping into class II-IV rapids on the river. The cabin is surrounded by woods providing privacy to enjoy the morning visits from deer, ducks and other wildlife. If you’re looking to have gathering at the cabin, horseshoes, volleyball, pool, complete bar, tons of board games and poker table will keep you busy! Afterwards, the spacious deck with seating for an army allows everyone to unwind by the fire. Wholeheartedly recommend this cabin for its superior location, charming accommodations and responsive owner. Great time had by all and will come again!
