- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
This place should be condemned! No one was there, signs on the door stating the room is dangerous and not to enter, the building was literally falling apart! We did not stay.

1-844-709-7928The Windswept Inn is located by the ocean and in an area with good shopping. Samuel E. Perry Grist Mill and Babcock-Smith House are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Richmond Country Club and Meadowbrook Golf Course. Frosty Drew Observatory and Water Wizz of Westerly are also worth visiting. Our guests appreciate the motel's quiet location.

Worst hotels.com experience ever!!We had a reservation here 4 months in advance of a 3-day music festival we planned to attend nearby. When we arrived for check-in, we were told by some strange attendant that the building had been condemned that day! We were supplied several phone numbers that yielded nothing. We ended up filing a police report with the local officials. Hotels.com made a (somewhat weak) effort to relocate us nearby, but there was nothing available. We did get a refund for the amount of the original hotel charge, but the hassle ruined the weekend. We could not stay for the festival because we could not find alternative lodging. $365 out. TAKE THIS LISTING OFF YOUR WEBSITE! The owner is a serial scammer who was robbing electricity to run the place, so the police shut him down. BTW, the place looks nothing like this photo....more like The Bates Motel
We called the hotel mid afternoon Saturday August 18, and left a message on the answering machine that we would arrive between 5 and 5:30 pm later that day. When we arrived at the hotel around 5:15pm, there was no one in the office and no notes for us. The office was locked up tight. We called Hotels.com and they could not find anyone either. While we were waiting on hold for more help from Hotels.com, a kind gentleman, Chris, came out of a room with his dog. He said he was surprised there was no one in the office, and he said he could let us in. He opened the office, got a room key, and showed us the room. If the gentleman had not come out to walk his dog, we would have had a lot of stress, since there were no other available hotels in the area; we would have had to drive home for the night and cut short our vacation. Once the gentleman let us in, we had a small, clean room. There was no Wi-Fi, but we were so tired we just went to bed.
We didnt even stay after the stories of a family murdered on property and the lack of a lock on the door and the ceiling dripping from AC condensation and the advertised food/bar wasn't available...
