Cute little house on beautiful pond

The house is very cute and the pond is gorgeous. We did have to rake the beach when we got here because it hadn’t been done for awhile. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabinets and fridge were really clean. As was the bathroom. I would’ve loved to have had more dish towels as there was only one and we had to use the bathroom hand towels. Four adults and three kids fit well here and we all had a great time using the two kayaks and paddle board that are on the property. The chimenea meant lots of s’mores and there was plenty of seating outside in the shed. I would advise the owners to make some important changes to the safety of the property if they are going to advertise as being kid friendly. The room upstairs for the kids is absolutely adorable. There are plenty of toys and even craft stuff for them to play with and they are well organized and labeled for pickup later. They should however have a gate for the stairs for the littler ones. The front screen door doesn’t latch well and the house is on a very busy street. The busy street can be rough for dogs and kids but it’s not a deal breaker. Also the second bedroom bed was missing all the knobs on the metal posts. The first night I scratched my leg. They really are very dangerous. One of them in middle of the headboard was very thin. Someone could easily lose an eye on it or pierce their hand. It’s an easy fix. Either sawing them off or replacing them but they should not be kept how they are. The property was advertised as having AC but the only room with AC was the master bedroom. There are window fans which do cool the house well but the screens need to be repaired. There are lots of holes and a ton of little bugs that got in. Overall the house was very nice. It is very homey and well decorated. We had a great experience and would even return in the future.

      Quaint spot on Hosmer Pond

We had all the space we needed and loved everything about the back yard - the beach, the pond, the trees, etc. The kids loved the loft space and the availability of wifi and netflix! The proximity to Camden and Rockland was ideal for daytime activities, shopping, and dining out. If we could change anything, we could have used a few more fans in the house since there was no air conditioning. Otherwise we had a wonderful time!
