Escape to the beauty of Cape Breton with a stay at Baddeck Domes, where camping meets added comfort along the waterfront. Wake up surrounded by nature, enjoy beautiful views, and experience a different way to stay in Baddeck.

Each dome offers a spacious and cozy interior with two double beds, a sofa, mini fridge, work table, lamp, insulation, and a heat pump for heating and cooling. A skylight at the top of the dome also gives you the opportunity to look up at the night sky from inside.

Step outdoors and enjoy your private deck, waterfront surroundings, and peaceful outdoor spaces. Guests can also enjoy our shared outdoor hot tub, with time allocated to each dome on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please remember that Baddeck Domes is a glamping/camping experience, not a traditional hotel or motel. Washrooms and hot showers are shared and located separately from the domes, approximately 20–40 ft away depending on your dome location. Additional washroom/shower facilities may also be available at Baddeck Inn within walking distance. We recommend bringing your own personal essentials to make your camping experience as comfortable as possible.

🔥 Firewood, BBQ and fireplace use may also be available upon request.

All pictures are false advertising don’t stay here Half are under Reno’s and a 2 bedroom dome is two beds Looks onto Tim Hortons and guy in there can’t work computer took over 20 min to find reservation and then we found out bathrooms only had 2 open Closest was 150m from dome the other was 200m which we would have to walk to in middle of night DONT WASTE your money We were traveling with my senior parents and asked for a refund was denied and left We travelled from Alberta

We booked this stay to celebrate both my birthday and Mother’s Day weekend with our family, and unfortunately the experience did not match the expectations created by the listing or the premium price.The property still appears to be under construction, with several unfinished domes nearby, and the domes are much closer together than the photos suggest, reducing the sense of privacy we expected from a luxury stay.Our check-in experience was disappointing. The receptionist was not welcoming and provided almost no information beyond giving us our dome number.The hot tub was in installation process upon arrival and we were told it would only be available after 8 PM, despite being promoted as a main amenity.The biggest issue was that our reservation for 5 guests advertised 3 double beds, but in reality there were only 2 beds plus a very hard sofa bed that was extremely uncomfortable.Most disappointing of all, the listing photos are misleading regarding the lakefront experience. The property is actually across a highway from the lake, with no direct lake access. While there is technically a water view, it is not the lakeside experience the photos imply.We also had issues with the digital lock showing “low battery” during the evening.Overall, the experience did not justify the very high price charged, especially for such an important family celebration weekend, on low season.
