San Diego International Airport (SAN) is easily accessed via I-5. Long-term parking is convenient, while Amtrak Intercity and Coaster commuter trains bring in passengers from all neighboring communities, even Los Angeles.

Flights from SAN to Kahului Airport (OGG) Hawaii Airport take about eight hours. Once in Kahului, take a taxi, shuttle or the bus system to your hotel, or rent a car at the car rental building beyond baggage claim.

Temperatures in Kahului are always high, but this is especially so in August when averages are around 86 degrees. It can also be wet with the rainy season, but summers are dry from May to September.
