"This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment we checked in, it was a disaster. The front desk staff, especially Troy, was rude and unprofessional. We were initially given the wrong room, forcing us to return to the front desk to have it corrected. Once we got into the room, the issues only got worse. There were small roaches throughout the room, visible mold in the bathroom, and the air conditioning unit stopped working. When I tried calling the front desk to speak with a manager about these concerns, my calls were disconnected intentionally twice. We booked two nights and ended up leaving a day early. Troy at the front desk was especially unhelpful and dismissive. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and basic customer service was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here."

"They are in the process of updating old couches and chairs! Much of the furnishings are old but the hotel is clean and is a convenient location! The views are either the intracostal or the ocean! Both are enjoyable except for the strait ahead view of the ocean( old ugly short buildings). However, it is a very acceptable place to stay if you can’t afford the ritz or Marriott!"

"The staff was very nice, but the facility was really in poor shape. The outside was never painted the rooms and inside our room was redone or in the process of being redone the bathroom, but there was no furniture other than night tables and a little chest for a refrigerator that was it in the whole room. No place to put your clothes the bed was a foam hard platform bed not too comfortable. There was a TV bare minimum it was close to the beach so that was the only good thing about the place The floor was in the room was never washed. I had to wash the floor as seen in the pictures of the towel that I used. with a little tender care and updates the place could be nice. They did put it in a new air conditioner. That works great new shower door, but doesn’t make up for how pour the place really looks."

"The Sonesta was great and the staff wonderful. Food ok, beach access great. My only recommendation is turnoff the music at night. They have music playing all night and it is medium to loud. Not a good sleeping environment. Nice hotel. MM"

"Such a great experience at this hotel. It is my go to hotel when staying in Fort Lauderdale. It is always reliable, staff are amazing, and accommodating to your stay. Can’t wait to be back! "
