Pittsburgh international Airport (PIT) is located about 20 miles west of downtown Pittsburgh. Most of the major western interstates can deliver you to the airport and it’s also possible to use the Port Authority's West Busway to get to the airport from downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland.

Flight times from PIT to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) are usually just over two hours. Each of the terminals features its own Ground Transportation Center near baggage claim. The Sun Trolley, taxis, shuttles and the Tri-Rail can all help you reach your final destination.

Fort Lauderdale draws visitors because of the beaches and sunshine. Stop at Fort Lauderdale Beach to lie out in the sand or to walk along the boardwalk, taking in the views of the city; when the weather gets warm, cool off at Kilwins Ice Cream of Las Olas. While there, check out the museums and architecture of the neighborhood.

Temperatures stay consistent from one month to the other, making Fort Lauderdale a great place to visit year-round. There is no real dry season here, so from May to October, the days are sunny but can end in thunderstorms. It might be a good idea to pack an umbrella with your swimsuit!
