Airport shuttle was terrible. International travelers without cell phones arriving at MIA and unable to call the hotel to tell them of arrival would be easily driven by because drivers were not looking for "pickups" or they were driving too fast to see someone waving at them. Very poor. Hotel rooms need a coat of paint.

My stay at La Quinta North Miami was okay, but there were several issues that made it disappointing. First, I was charged for my room at 1:30 a.m. the night before I even checked in or arrived in Miami. The airport pick-up was fine, though the van they used was definitely older. I stayed in room 112 — the door was very hard to close, which was frustrating. When I asked about arranging a ride to the port, I was told it “wasn’t worth it” since I was traveling alone. Then at 8 a.m., housekeeping knocked on my door asking when I was checking out. I told them 11 a.m., but being woken up that early caused me to oversleep later. During the night, someone was sliding papers under my door, which was unsettling. I also missed breakfast, but honestly didn’t have much appetite after that. When I checked out, I just wanted some water for my bottle, but there was none available outside of breakfast hours which felt unreasonable in Miami heat. Overall, it wasn’t the worst stay, but between being charged early, the noise, and lack of basic amenities, I don’t think I’d choose this location again.

Please DO NOT STAY HERE . The first room I was giving the bathroom had no separation from the tub and the toilet just a big space with a drain shower head and toilet. The bathroom was filthy dead centipedes everywhere, stains on the floor from previous guest and stuff on the toilet when I let the office know my bathroom was dirty and toilet wasn’t working they sent someone to fix the toilet but not clean the bathroom so I asked for a refund instead they refused and give me another room which this time it was clean but the A/c hardly work . Please don’t spend your money here
