Checked in to the hotel on 9/4 and inspected my room. Left the hotel for the afternoon and evening to return later that night. The next morning around 6:30am when I woke up there was a bed bug on the wall. Thankfully I did not have any bites. I informed the front desk immediately and they assigned me a different room. I had to leave for work that morning so I never took my belongings to the second room. Around 2:30pm that day I returned to the hotel and asked to cancel my reservation and requested a refund. I told the attendant (Jennifer) I was not comfortable staying at this hotel and had already secured another place to stay. She would not refund me or cancel the reservation. I was instructed to return to the hotel the following day 9/6) and speak to the GM (Victor) about a refund. Victor was not present the following day. Jennifer called me around 1:30pm on 9/6 and told me I would be getting a partial refund, accused me of staying in the room with the bedbugs and not reporting it immediately. She would not let me speak on the phone and hung up on me. I called Best Westerns corporate customer service line and opened a complaint ticket. Thankfully corporate was able to process the refund for me. I will
