To drive yourself to Spokane International Airport (GEG), climb on to I-90. Typical flight times from GEG to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) are usually just under 45 minutes.
Once you land at SEA, climb on the Link Light Rail and head to Seattle proper.
Spend some time strolling around the Seattle Art Museum. This huge museum is one of America's largest. If you're a history buff, spend some time in Pioneer Square. This square is one of the oldest settlements in the Northwest and has been largely preserved, allowing you to venture back in time.
For an outdoor escape in the heart of the city, visit Discovery Park. This 500-acre green space includes hiking trails, beaches and meadows. Before you leave, stop by the Space Needle, a remnant from the 1962 World's Fair that has been a part of Seattle's unique skyline since its construction.
Stay right in the heart of Seattle for easy access to most of the city's most popular attractions. If you want to save some cash, stay near Seattle Center and take the monorail into Seattle proper for your daily sightseeing.
Be sure to bring rain gear as it rains about 50 percent of the time. In the summer, 75 is the average temperature, offering climate perfect for your outdoor sightseeing.
