Visitors flying from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas are sure to have a great time. Dallas is the premier destination of the South with plenty to do, see and eat. Sports fans can rejoice at attending a Dallas Mavericks basketball game or Dallas Cowboys football game. Other attractions include the Dallas Zoo, two aquariums and multiple museums, such as the Dallas Museum of Art.
Located 19 miles outside of downtown Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is about a 20-minute drive into the city with no traffic. For those who wish to explore the area near the airport, try Grapevine Mills Mall, which is a quick 15 minute drive from DFW, and features many stores, an aquarium, restaurants and a tourist train to take you around.
As one of the largest airports in the United States, and one of the busiest airports in the world, it may take you some time to exit DFW. Remember that when you go to pick up your rental car, you will take a shuttle from the airport to the car rental facility, where all rental companies are located. Just follow the signs to the shuttle after exiting the aircraft.
There are many nonstop flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) that last a little over three hours. For the flights that do have a layover, most stop in Atlanta, Baltimore, or Houston and have layovers of a little over an hour.
