When you travel to the Dallas and Fort Worth metropolitan area, you'll have two cities of art, entertainment, sports and attractions to enjoy. When you pick up your rental car from the airport, you can choose to travel to the southwest a few miles and head into downtown Dallas, or travel southeast towards Fort Worth. In Dallas, you'll be able to tour the Nasher Sculpture Center or catch a Cowboys game; in Fort Worth, you can spend an entire day at the Amon Carter Museum of the Arts exploring their collection.
You’ll find both Interstates 20 and 30 connect Fort Worth and Dallas. If you are looking to explore further afield you can also drive your rental car on these interstates, to the neighboring cities of Arlington and Grand Prairie. I-35 is the major north and south thoroughfare.
The trip from Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) in Ohio to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) should last around three hours. Art buffs can head south to Dallas, you can stop at the downtown arts district and peruse one of the collections on offer. If you go to Fort Worth first, you should let your initial stop be Kimbell Art Museum, which is known for its exclusive collections as well as its beautiful architecture.
