Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is about 20 miles west of downtown Pittsburgh. The Port Authority’s West Busway offers easy access to the airport from downtown Pittsburgh, Oakland and the University of Pittsburgh.
Flight times from PIT to Tampa International Airport (TPA) are usually a little over two hours long. At TPA, head over to the end of the Red Baggage Claim area to pick up the public bus that heads into downtown Tampa. At the Ground Transportation Center Blue, you can catch the Red Coach that goes to Miami as well as Tampa.
As you explore downtown Tampa, check out some of the Segway tours available. They allow you to cover a greater distance and learn more about the historical significance of the area.
